Who We Are

A Family Affair Video has been in business since 1995, providing a range of video productions services, documenting special family and personal events such as weddings, birthdays, baptisms, anniversary celebrations, and more.

Scott and Barb Scheman own and operate the company, based in Lyons, Illinois. Building on their combined experience in video production, each principal strives to continually update their knowledge and enhance their skills through active participation in leading industry trade groups and professional associations.

Scott and Barb are both members of Professional Industry Organizations such as WEVA (Wedding and Event Videographers Association) International; the 4-EVER Group (Event Videography Education and Resources); and the IVA (Illinois Videographers Association).

Scott, for example, is serving his third year as Vice President, IVA. Barb, meanwhile, is a regular staff assistant at the annual WEVA EXPO Convention and serving as Treasurer for the IVA.
